About Bert and Hotwire Music
Living on an estate in the RLP Palatinate of Germany since 1993, Bert produces music and videos for Hotwire Music in his Blues Farm Studio. As well as heading Hot Wire Bass creating hi-end bass guitars. Since 2010, he fronts the Crazee Inlaws blues-rock band on guitar and vocals.
Special preferences: blues, jazz, soul, funk, rock, also EDM... everything that rocks and swings...!
In 1964 Bert started on guitar inspired by the Beatles, in 1967 he picked up the bass and played rock and soul in American clubs. In the seventies, he studied Music and English Education in Frankfurt, Germany and Newcastle, England. All those years, he played in various bands while working on his recording skills.
In 1980 he opened the iconic music shop „Mr. Bassman" in Frankfurt building and selling basses, and became the bass player for the Matchbox Bluesband. In 1985 started his music journalist phase, publishing “German Bass Magazine”, in 1989 he founded the label "Hot Wire Records“. Bert produced 45 CDs, working with Joe Pass, Carol Kaye, Jimmie Earl, Percy Jones, Victor Bailey, Barry Finnerty, and many other international artists.
